This project was a feasibility study for the addition of a much-needed multi-purpose gymnasium with associated change rooms and equipment storage spaces to the Ancaster Seniors Achievement Centre. Grace Wang Architect’s design meets both the municipal accessibility standards and the specific needs of the seniors. The existing facility consists of three major parts built in different eras and with different design expressions. This proposal, while focused on space functionality, strives to blend in and to create a coherent design language for the Centre.
